Pros & Cons

When you make purchases with American Airlines or everyday purchases made with the card, you can earn miles. Your miles can be redeemed against flights with the airline and their partners, and you can get discounts on in-flight purchases. There is no annual fee for the first year of membership with Citi/ AAdvantage Gold MasterCard but every subsequent year is $50. There are foreign transaction fees of 3% but there is also a sign-up bonus.
